Write-Ins for Affiliated Faculty

CISSR holds a write-in for faculty fellows and affiliates every Thursday from 2-5pm in Pick Hall 105. With endless demands on our time, it can be difficult to protect the time we need to focus on our most important work, so we block a few hours each week to focus on precisely that – our most important scholarly work. No emails, no rec letters, no annual reports, no peer-review reports, or student demands. This is a space for faculty only. We welcome you to attend for as long or short a time as you can make it. Bring your laptop and any materials you need to advance your research. After brief introductions, we write quietly at the conference table from 2-4pm, then we bring out some snacks and drinks from 4-5pm, which is also a social time for chit-chat and exchanging ideas.  We hope to see you on Thursdays during spring quarter, as your schedule allows. But no need to RSVP or apologize if you can’t make it.
